EBook Reader Review - Determining The Top Reader Among The Best Models Offered

eBook readers have changed the way people gather and view books, magazines and news. In this post I analyze the top ebook readers for sale on the market today.

There are quite a few criteria buyers should consider when you review ebook readers. Among the top characteristics to analyze are screen size, screen type, battery longevity, recharge time, amount of storage, weight, overall size, wireless capabilities, and file types accepted.

In my analysis, I take into consideration the Amazon Kindle 2 and Kindle DX, the Barnes and Noble Nook, Sony's Reader Touch PRS-600 and PRS-700, and Astak's EZ Readers. There are many others, and we will assess those in due time, but my purpose is to grant the reader a small representation with an explanation of capability comparisons so that they can hit the market equipped with some essential knowledge about ebook readers.

In my opinion, characteristics like the touchscreen, screen size and type and wireless capabilities should be your first concern when comparing eBook reader models. The following thing to analyze is the reality that some of the eBook readers have hundreds of thousands of titles out there while other readers can only read a a small number of titles. If the above criteria meet with your standards, then you should lastly consider price and support.

The Kindle and Sony models are placed very well by various online sources. The blend of characteristics on these models in addition to the reasonable price point makes them winning models. All readers feature the E-Ink screen. Only the Kindle and one Atsak model feature "text-to-speech" to permit the device to read to you. The Sony models boast a touch screen for a more interactive user experience. All models boast a robust nearly 2 week battery life with a mixture of charging times, but nearly all are near 3 or 4 hours. There are slight variances in the file formats that each ebook model can accept.
