The Wind Alliance is a partnership, both public and private, that was formed to support three concepts for an industry in wind energy that will be ranked as one of the most prominent in the world. Supporting the workforce, technology and the improvement of systems necessary for the use of wind energy in the U.S. are the three concepts necessary.
The Wind Alliance knows that by sharing information and knowledge the elimination of redundancy and the specialized placement of resources can be achieved. Featuring teamwork will allow the wind industry to share knowledge, speed up the development of wind energy and benefit storage, conveyance and dispersal on a national scale.
Goals of the Wind Alliance include making wind energy competitive with other types of methods used for generating power. Achieving a goal they have set for 2030, which includes having 46 states that will have considerable development in wind energy by that date is another part of the plan.
Members should make plans to attend these meetings as there was quite a turn out in the October meeting. The Wind Alliance only holds two meetings for members per year, a spring meeting and a fall meeting. Join the Wind Alliance and learn what can be done to conserve the earth's natural resources. Don't miss the meeting being held on February 24th.
