Old Dominion University is currently establishing a national science foundation on Wind Energy. Additionally, alternative energy aerodynamic testing continues to be active at the Langley Full-Scale Tunnel (LFST). Aerospace researchers saw a steady stream of small wind turbine customers this year as companies scrambled to bring products to market. Researchers from multiple disciplines across campus are also working to develop novel design concepts for offshore wind farms.
