Brian Connor is an Energy Technology Specialist for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in the Office of Wind and Hydropower Technologies. He has program responsibilities for wind university partnerships with industry, wind turbine mitigation on radar systems, and wind farm technical feasibility assessments on DOE installations.
Mr. Connor has 20 years of federal service in the executive and legislative branches of government. He was with the Department of Interior and Federal Energy Administration working on regulatory enforcement over oil industry price and allocation controls during the energy crises of the 70s. While on Capitol Hill, Connor was the lead energy expert for two Members of Congress and served on the professional staff of the House Committee on Public Works and Transportation. He has also provided contractor support on Departmental strategic planning efforts.
He has held positions on the government relations programs of professional engineering societies and trade organizations including: the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Utility Contractors Association, and the American Association of Road and Transportation Builders.
Mr. Connor holds a BA from Fairfield University in History and an MA in Special Studies in Legislative Affairs from the George Washington University.
