We are a Pre-Competitive Collaboration

The Wind Alliance develops infrastructure, technology and workforce through pre-competitive business integration and collaborative projects between industry, academia and government within the U.S.   The Wind Alliance has evolved from an initiative/division of the University of Houston, called the Lone Star Wind Alliance, to a fully functioning, independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization led by John D. White.

The Wind Alliance’s primary functions:  to manage three dynamic, member-driven think-tank committees, including infrastructure, technology and workforce, to identify and channel project funding to members’ collaborative projects, and to administer and coordinate members’ collaborative projects (as needed).

The Wind Alliance holds two all-member meetings each year, one in the fall and one in the spring.
